In 2014 the German retail giant OTTO redesigned their corporate design. As part of that process a script typeface was created to add a personal feeling to a straight and at times technical corporate design. Since fonts can only imitate handwriting the aim was to create a typeface where no letter would appear to be as the one before. Over 200 ligatures of the most common twin letter combinations in the German language were designed to achieve a handwritten randomness. The rest is done through a smart OpenType feature.
