FF Dingbats 2.0
Originally designed by Johannes Erler in 1993 the FF Dingbats were the first comprehensive dingbats font family since the Zapf Dingbats from the 70s. It was conceptualized to cater to the needs of a new generation of designers: Those using desktop publishing. By 2009 time and technology had changed and the successful FF Dingbats needed an update since many of the symbols were no longer needed and others were missing. A conceptual and style brush up would be needed. Now there are more than 1,000 dingbats: Laptops, helicopters, stars, arrows, PCs, tools … and a Mac Lisa.
